Slot Bonus Features Guide: Wilds, Scatters and More
A friendly guide to slot bonus features: wilds, scatters, multipliers, free spin rounds, cascades and bonus buys, with tips on how each affects your play.
Quick answer
Wilds substitute for other symbols, scatters trigger bonus rounds, multipliers increase wins, and cascades remove winning symbols so new ones drop in. Bonus buys let you pay to enter the feature directly, at higher risk.
Common features

- Scatter: pays anywhere and usually triggers free spins
- Multiplier: multiplies a win by 2x, 5x or more
- Cascade: winning symbols disappear and new ones fall
- Sticky wild: stays in place for several spins
Bonus buy
